Recess City Council meeting to move into Utilities Authority meeting.


Consent Docket:
There was one item regarding a bid recommendation for uniform rental service. This item was approved 3-0.


Utilities Authority meeting was adjourned, reconvene back into City Council meeting.


Move into executive session was approved 3-0.

Approval of Minutes (Regular Meeting on June 18, Executive Session on June 18, Special Meeting on June 25) - Approved 4-0


Consent Docket - No items pulled, approved 4-0


Public Hearings
a. Received public comment regarding a request for a Specific Use Permit for property addressed as 702, 798, 800 and 1100 E. Mercury Ave. (Aspen Heights). There were two requests to speak in favor of this request. Planning Commission recommended approval with a vote of 4-0 to accept staff findings and to recommend City Council to approve the Specific Use Permit to allow single-family dwellings in the RTM (Multi-Family Duplex) zoning district. Council Approves 4-0.


General Orders
a. Transportation Engineering Manager Jason Peek presented a bid recommendation for the Neighborhood Streets Projects - Schedule 3. Council approved 4-0 to accept staff recommendations.

 - Council asked for External Services Director John McClenny to answer questions. Councilor Weaver and Vice Mayor Hopkins asked questions about how the process was going to move forward. McClenny assured them that everything will go into effect starting October 1, 2012.

City Attorney Dorman - requesting an executive session for pending Workers' Compensation claims filed. Also, requesting an executive session to discuss labor negotiations with International Association of Firefighters Local #2095.


City Manager Galloway - Talked briefly about speaking to fellow city managers at a conference last week about the City of Stillwater's recent reorganization.


Councilor Pina - mentioned the Stillwaggin' Dog Park has been busy.


City Council meeting recessed, moved into Stillwater Utilities Authority regular meeting.


Approval of Minutes - Minutes from June 18 regular meeting approved 4-0


Consent Docket - No items pulled, approved 4-0.


Public Appearances - One request to speak in opposition of increasing water rates.

Resolution No. SUA-2012-4 - Approved 3-1 with Trustee Pina voting no.


Adjournment for Stillwater Utilities Authority approved 4-0, moved into Use Tax Committee.

Trustees reviewed and discussed Use Tax revenues. No action was required.
